What these materials are
The STABLE Protocol, The Missing Phase, and everything else published under the STABLE name are educational materials. They were written to explain what happens to a body after a GLP-1 treatment ends, and to offer habits — food, movement, sleep, stress — that help you hold what you achieved.
That is all they are.
We never give medication guidance
Nothing we publish tells you to start, stop, pause, resume, increase, reduce, taper, or substitute any medication — including semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide, or any other GLP-1 receptor agonist, and including compounded or generic versions of them.
We do not discuss dosing. We do not compare brands. We do not tell you when your treatment should end.
Those decisions belong to you and the licensed professional who prescribed your treatment.
Our materials are written for what comes after that decision has already been made, by someone else, with you. If you are reading us while still on treatment, everything here is meant to be brought to your doctor, not used instead of your doctor.
We are not your doctors
The STABLE Team is not composed of physicians, nurses, dietitians, nutritionists, psychologists, or personal trainers acting in a clinical capacity. No one on this team has examined you, reviewed your medical history, run your labs, or knows anything about your particular body.
Reading our materials, buying them, emailing us, or participating in our communities does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client, or any other professional–client relationship.
What we publish describes what the peer-reviewed evidence says happens to many people after GLP-1 treatment. You are one person, not an average.
Talk to your doctor before you begin
Our materials include strength training and a protein target. Both are safe for most healthy adults, and both can be the wrong idea for some people. Get clearance first if you:
- have known cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- have had surgery in the last several months, including abdominal or bariatric surgery
- have hernias, persistent back pain, or an undiagnosed joint injury
- have diagnosed osteoporosis or have had a fragility fracture
- are pregnant or recently postpartum
- have kidney or liver disease, or any condition affecting how your body handles protein
- take medication for diabetes, blood pressure, or a thyroid condition
- are under 18
None of these rules you out. Almost all of them change how you should start. That is a five-minute conversation, and it is worth having.
About the numbers in our materials
Every figure we publish — grams of protein, sets and repetitions, hours of sleep, milligrams of calcium, grams of creatine — is a general reference drawn from published literature, not a prescription written for you.
We deliberately do not give a vitamin D number, because the correct one depends on your blood level and only a test can tell you that. Ask your doctor to measure it.
If you have kidney or liver disease, do not raise your protein intake or begin any supplement without speaking to your physician first.
About aesthetic and medical procedures
The Missing Phase describes fillers, collagen biostimulators, skin boosters, radiofrequency, focused ultrasound, panniculectomy, and abdominoplasty. That chapter exists so you can walk into a consultation informed and ask better questions.
It is not a recommendation, a referral, or an endorsement of any procedure, product, clinic, or practitioner. We have no financial relationship with any provider of these services. Every one of these procedures carries real risk, and the chapter names those risks on purpose. Discuss them with a qualified, licensed professional before deciding anything.
Results vary, and we will not pretend otherwise
We make no guarantee about weight, body composition, appearance, or health outcomes. The published evidence we cite — STEP 1, SURMOUNT-1, SURMOUNT-4, and the rest — describes groups of people in clinical trials, not you.
No study has demonstrated that our materials specifically change anyone's result, and we say so in the books themselves. What we offer is a system built on the best available evidence. It is not a guarantee, and anyone who sells you one is selling you something.
If something feels wrong, stop and call someone
Stop any activity immediately if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, sharp joint pain, or any symptom that concerns you, and seek medical attention.
This is not for emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not email us and wait.
If you are struggling with food, your body, or eating patterns that worry you, that deserves real support from a person, not a book. In the United States, the National Alliance for Eating Disorders operates a helpline staffed by licensed clinicians who can point you toward the right care.
